Hi there, I’m Tondalaya!
As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have been able to treat a diverse range of clients, including geriatric patients. My experience spans across various conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, schizophrenia, substance abuse, addiction, personality disorders, schizoaffective disorder, and sleep disorders. My dedication lies in helping everyone heal and reintegrate as a functioning member of society, utilizing a blend of education, therapy, non-medicinal interventions, and medication when necessary.
Today times are difficult, challenging and frightening at the same time. I will take the necessary time to get to know you and listen to your needs and how you describe the things in your life that currently cause you concern and stress. Together we will decide on a plan of care that will give you the best results and help you thrive once again.
I focus on providing care that is respectful and responsive to individuals' preferences, needs, and values while ensuring all decisions are made addressing concerns with the individual's input.
My communication style is compassionate and confident. While being a great listener, I use skills to create a safe environment that allows an individual to express their feelings, thoughts, and emotions.
Starting off as a Family nurse practitioner, I stumbled into mental health helping a colleague and enjoyed every minute of it. I completed my FNP at Chamberlain University and continued my post master’s for PMHNP at Valdosta State University. While working in mental health, I was able to see individuals improve and thrive in lifestyles that are meaningful.
Setting goals is an effective way to increase motivation, and create change, I approach goals by asking questions that will facilitate clear and achievable goals.
During my first session, I will gather an in-depth H&P from my clients. I will establish a rapport with my clients as well as gain one another's trust. Together we will establish a plan of care and goals.
Hi there, I’m Michelle!
As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who has treated teenage clients as well as geriatric clients in their nineties. I have treated clients who suffer from anxiety, depression, ADHD, schizophrenia, substance abuse and addiction, and borderline personality disorder, as well as schizoaffective and sleep disorders. I am a dedicated healthcare provider who works very hard to help each and every client heal and become a functioning member of society again through education, therapy, non-medicinal therapies, and medication as needed.
I completed my bachelor's and master's degree at Chamberlain University and my PMHNP at Valdosta State University. I possess excellent communication skills, especially when it comes to establishing trust with her clients. She always reminds clients that, despite the negative stigma that can be associated with mental health disorders, it takes a very strong person to seek help. She always spends the necessary time to get a thorough initial psychiatric evaluation which helps her utilize the tools she needs to best treat the client. She is an advocate for therapy for most of her clients in combination with group therapies in conjunction with medication therapy if needed.
The world in which we currently live can be both challenging and scary at the same time. Michelle will take the necessary time to get to know you and listen to your needs and how you describe the things in your life that currently cause you concern and stress. Together you and Michelle will decide on a plan of care that will give you the best results and help you thrive once again.
My family suffers from mental illness ranging from severe anxiety and depression to bipolar disorder. I was diagnosed with severe depression/anxiety in my mid-thirties. Prior to being diagnosed, I remember waking up in the mornings thinking "oh no-I have to go another day stuck inside my head." I sought treatment quickly and I am grateful for the help I received. As a psychiatric provider who was successfully treated, it is my goal to help as many people as possible who "are stuck inside their heads." I have been a healthcare provider for 28 years and I am motivated and determined to help as many people as I can who suffer from mental illness.
I wish all clients knew there is help out there for them and that having mental illness does not label you with a stigma-that there are millions of people who suffer from this disorder and nobody should feel shame about seeking help.
During my first session I will gather an in depth H&P from my clients. I will establish a rapport with my clients as well as gain their trust. Together we will establish a POC and goals.
